Who Are We?
For those who are not too familiar with who we are, here is a quick backstory of how we came to be.
Homeware Online began during the height of the pandemic, as our sister company luggage.co.nz started to feel the strain. Travel become virtually non-existent and luggage sales began to decline at a rapid rate. The luggage landscape as we knew it was changing and we were forced to act quickly. If we’ve learnt anything in business, it is the importance of being adaptable in an ever changing market.
We put our heads together to brainstorm how we could keep our business up and running during this challenging time. We pride ourselves on our innovation, and we knew that the incredible online retail experience we have created at luggage.co.nz could be transferred over to a different kind of e-business. With a lot of hard work and dedication, we were able to create something pretty fantastic. Thanks to support from some incredible brands and suppliers, we launched Homeware Online on the 20th of August last year.
What Do We Stand For?
When we were developing the framework for Homeware Online, we had a few key goals we wanted to knock out of the park.
Firstly, we wanted to provide our fellow kiwis with fast, free nationwide delivery. We know what a difference free shipping can make to your overall shopping experience, and we wanted to be the ones to provide that. We also aim to deliver your order as fast as possible, with a standard delivery timeframe of 1-3 business days. If you receive your goods and find that it isn’t quite right, you can always return it. We offer 100 day returns on all orders, as long as they remain in new and unused condition. Easy as that!
Our overarching goal is to provide the widest range of premium homeware products in New Zealand. After the first 9 months, the success of our website drew attention from some of New Zealand’s largest homeware distributors & brands. This allowed us to double our offering and expand into new categories. Brands such as Joseph Joseph, Stanley Rogers, Instant Pot, George Street Linen & Ironclad Pan were among these. Our digital shelves are packed with quality product, as we believe in providing our customers with goods that will last a lifetime of use.
Last but not least, we strive to provide you with the best customer service experience possible. At Homeware Online, we are heavily inspired by Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos. In his book “Delivering Happiness” he places a heavy focus on exceptional customer service. Our goal is to keep you, our customer, as happy as possible. We try and do this in every single area of the business, from the product information to our prompt replies to queries.
This business is extremely special to us all, as it was a very positive thing to come out of Covid times. To celebrate our upcoming first birthday, we wanted to give back to those who made it all possible – our loyal customers.
